混昧(Ambivalence)為描述一個人涉入正負糾纏不清的情愫並存，以此字詞去回應漫畫家左萱的《神之鄉》作品中男主角在情感價值上的不確定性，而與父親之間的難言關係。在故事中的破點以陀螺為重要的關鍵介質，去破除這隱形的牆。混昧為現代醫學所認定的非正常狀態，迫使人逃避和拖延來消解內心的不滿或認知失調，而這些複雜的正負情緒演繹了許多亞洲家庭中「父親與我」的糾結。
在不斷運動的卷軸影像，重新詮釋觀看《神之鄉》與自身故事的回望和改寫。以「神明的孩子」、「弒父」、「理性的進步」的情感轉譯，隨時間而理解本質性的內在衝突，而破除那情感負面的高牆。
影像中被寄養在風水師下的「神明的孩子」，在巫術、神怪、民俗下的侵擾，多年所產生的恐懼和感受到的精神壓抑，重新去面對這「複數父親」上的情感書寫。這些散漫的影像聯想和指涉，是一種悲劇精神性的重新梳理和寄生於夢境。
當陀螺是不斷的旋繞，不會停止到下，是在夢中。
